| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The main objective of the consultancy service under this Terms of Reference (TOR) is to provide technical support to the GIS Section of LGED for Strengthening GIS activities of LGED by upgrading, operation & maintenance of GIS Database and GIS Portal. Broadly the objective is summarized below:
i. Establish a standard geodatabase so that multiple users can work individually connected with central geodatabase: Ensure high standards of quality as well as security of data in execution of GIS activities;
ii. Perform GIS based network analysis to select the shortest path; perform various geospatial analysis such as accessibility analysis, hazard analysis for effective planning and implementation of LGED projects;
iii. Support GIS section to update, modify and maintain the existing GIS Portal in project planning, monitoring, reporting as well as showcasing of GIS information of LGED;
iv. Assist the GIS section for preparing customized maps and conducting survey works according to requirement of LGED to update GIS information. |

The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are:
(a) General experience of the firm(s):
(b) Experience in similar projects of compatible size, complexity and technical specially in the required area;
(c) Financial soundness of the firm; and
(d) Staffing and logistics of the firm. |

Consultants are requested to submit the following supporting documents in support of the above-mentioned criteria:
(a) Registration paper of the firm(s); (b) JV agreement/letter of intent (if applicable); (c) Firm's brochure; (d) Audited financial reports for last three years: (e) service experience record (including nature, total cost, total input in terms of man month, employer, location of service etc.). Key Experts will not be evaluated at the shortlisting stage. |
