Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The reputed experienced qualified Consulting Firm having competencies of conducting statistically sound Baseline Survey on various statuses of the project beneficiaries is required. The successful bidder/contractor will provide following services include baseline survey through statistically sound Households (HH) data collection:
(i) Present status of farming families’ crop production, record present crop productivity, inputs and the input amounts used, cropping intensity & scope of increasing diversified crops’ production through introducing high value, marketable crops and processing system of HVCs; (ii) Assess socio-economic profile of the target farmers (landless, marginal and small) including the entire family’s existing employment pattern, income levels, productive assets, financial status, food security, food consumption pattern, marketing and storage systems of farm produce, each of the above by gender; (iii) Determine the knowledge and skills of target farming families, including women farmers, current status of technology transfer and adoption of HYVs and improved cultural practices; present irrigation system and water sources; (iv) Identify income and employment status of target farmers’ households and income generating activities (IGA) of different on- and off-farm incomes by the households by gender; (v) Nutritional status and knowledge of the household; (vi) Capacity building needs of the farmers; (vii) Status of horticultural crop/ high value crops’ production; (viii) Status of use of agricultural equipment/machineries and their impact and ((ix) Scope of use of modern agricultural technologies.

Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

? The consulting firm should have legally registered and 10 years experience in conducting baseline survey through statistically sound Households (HH) data collection.
? Consulting firm should have adequate experience with required manpower and logistics to conduct the baseline survey in 30 Upazilas under 11 districts with statistical rigor and produce a comprehensive baseline report.
? Interested firm should have provided following information (a) Details of organization and key staff, including educational qualification and demonstration of the availability of appropriate skills among the staff (b) List of similar assignment conducted in the last 10 years.
? List of reference (Clients) with address.
? Valid and up-to-date trade licence, VAT registration, TIN certificate, Income Tax certificate, Bank solvency (up to date), audit report, and any other related qualifying information (If any, like Brochure and others).
