| Brief Description of Assignment |

This consultancy (NGO) will undertake for piloting & expansion of Flood Preparedness Programme (FPP).The main objectives of this consultancy is to build Flood Resilient Community through enhancing Flood Preparedness, Coping and Response Capacity of the Community for Reducing Flood Risks, Losses and Damages in line with the changing trends of the Flood incidents.
The NRP: DDM part will engage the NGO, as implementing partner, in the Chilmari and Sadar Upazila of Kurigram district and Islampur & Dewanganj Upazila of Jamalpur district. The NGO/implementing partner will recruit the staff for the project to implement activities related to Flood Preparedness Programme (FPP) Model. The main deliverable of the successful NGO/organization is to implement the FPP Model by adopting FPP best practice for developing an adaptive model to recommended Institutionalization of FPP.
Duration of the assignment is 15 months from the signing of the contract and it is expected to begin from October, 2019. (May have the provision of extension). |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

i. The NGO will have all legal papers e.g. valid trade license, registration with competent authority, latest audit report, TIN and other updated documents to run a business in a legal way.
ii. At least 10 years of relevant experience on Disaster Preparedness Programme.
iii. At least 5 years demonstrated experiences and skills in the areas of implementing & facilitating of Flood Preparedness/ Community based disaster management Programme at the field.
iv. Must have practical experience of working with Ministries of GOB, specially working experience with MoDMR and/or Department of disaster Management (DDM) will get preference.
v. Practical experience with donors/UNDP or other UN organisations’ will get preference. |
