Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
This consultancy (NGO) will undertake for Development & Piloting of Disaster Risk Reduction activities with People with Disabilities.The main objectives of this consultancy is to build capacity for disabled people’s organizations, persons with disabilities and governments to address the disaster risk & enhance institutional frameworks.
The NRP:DDM part will engage the NGO, as implementing partner, in the Kurigram and Jamalpur district. The NGO/implementing partner will recruit the staff for the project to implement activities related to Disaster Risk Reduction activities with People with Disabilities Model.
Duration of the assignment is 12 months from the signing of the contract and it is expected to begin from December, 2019. |

For Shortlisting of EOI :
i. Minimum eligibility criteria of the NGO: The NGO will have all legal papers e.g. valid trade license, registration with competent authority (NGO Affair’s Bureau & Department of Social Welfare, GOB) , latest audited report, TIN and other updated documents to run a business in a legal way.
ii. At least 10 years of relevant experience on Disaster Preparedness Programme/ Community based disaster management programme.
iii. At least 5 years demonstrated experiences and skills in the areas of implementing & facilitating of disability activities at the field.
iv. Must have practical experience of working with Ministries of GOB, specially working experience with MoDMR, Department of Social Welfare and/or Department of disaster Management (DDM) will get preference.
v. Practical experience with donors/UNDP or other UN organisations’ will be an asset.
vi. Latest Audited Financial Statement- income statement and balance sheet to indicate its financial stability, liquidity, credit standing, and market reputation, etc
vii. Good understanding on sectoral mandates, priorities and similar issues with regard to disaster, climate, gender, disability.
viii. The NGO must have technical staff and resources to develop work plan, strategy, technical guidelines and others as required.
ix. The NGO having working experiences in Kurigram and Jamalpur district will be an asset. |

The NRP:DDM Part now invites eligible Consulting Firm(NGO) (National) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consulting Firm should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
