INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |

Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received loan from the World Bank (with co-financing from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank -AIIB) to finance Rural Water, Sanitation & Hygiene for Human Capital Development Project and intends to engage part of the proceeds for District Level Coordinator services.
The Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE), under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, Government of Bangladesh, now invites eligible applicant (“Consultant”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services as District Level Coordinator. Interested individual should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualification and relevant experience to perform the Services as follows.

N.B. The work location of the District level Coordinators may be changed as per requirement of the project activities. a. Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from any reputed university.
b. Experience:
• 5 years of professional experience in the area of supervision and quality control of construction activities, preferably water supply, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) related activities.
• Minimum 3 years of experience and proven track record in WASH related works at rural areas.
• Experience in working with water supply & Sanitation related NGOs/Organizations.
• Familiarity with GPS & GIS system and ability to handle multi-disciplinary data and Geographic database.
• Proven skill in communication dealing with different stakeholders.
• Having experience dealing with Donors and Interdepartmental agencies will get preference.
• Must have computer skill in MS office packages, operating web-based software and
• Proficiency in Report preparation.

The Consultant will be hired and contracted as per the Selection method of “Selection of Individual Consultants (SIC)” under World Bank Procurement Regulations, July’2016 (Revised November 2020). Duration of the consultancy services will be 42 months or project closing date, whichever is earlier.
