| Brief Description of Assignment |

Risk Mapping of 487 upazilas of Bangladesh is to show which upazila is more vulnerable or less vulnerable for agricultural production, how these are already affected or are likely to be affected in future in different aspects on agricultural activities in Bangladesh to reduce the loss of agricultural product and enhance production in relation to climate information. This assessment and risk mapping are very important for these upazilas and for the farmers and farming community to take the necessary steps to develop agricultural products and reduce loss of agricultural products from extreme weather events in future in Bangladesh |

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) as single source because BUET is a renowned university in our country and abroad and they have experience in this field (exp. coastal vulnerability map of Bangladesh). They are also working with World Bank (WB) at different fields as single source service provider. Besides, mentioning in the WB guidelines, selection and employment of consultants under IBRD loans and IDA credits & grants by WB borrowers, page 27, 3.8 & 3.9 under Single Source Selection (SSS) |
