INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT

| Brief Description of Assignment |

• To construct the sewerage infrastructures i.e. deep sewer line(5.8 km), gravity pipes(189.5km), manhole & chambers(3620 nos.), force mains(3.31km), realignment of existing utilities, sewerage pump stations(15nos.), service lines, house connections, dry weather flow interceptor, sewerage treatment plant (100mld) etc. at the Western part & the South-East part of Chattogram city (Halishahar Catchment, area about 34.83 km2 i.e. Halishahar, Rampur, Agrabad etc.)
• To construct Faecal Sludge collection, transportation and treatment system (300 cu.m/day) at Halishahar catchment area and other parts of the city wherever sewerage facility cannot be provided because of constrain in infrastructure construction space, and
• On-site sanitation improvement at different part of the city including slums.
Based on above objectives, the scope of this Consultancy services to be undertaken shall cover all but not limited to : i) General as per TOR of this Consultancy ii) Assisting in selection of feasible, technical and cost-effective solutions of treatment process, iii) Preparing conceptual designs & cost estimate with Design Build (DB) tender documents, iv) Reviewing of contractor’s design and assisting CWASA for Contractor selection process, v) Requirements for training and transfer of knowledge and vi) Construction supervision & contract management up to final acceptance after Defect Liability Period etc. for efficient sewage collection, conveyance, treatment and disposal system within STP-1 Catchment Area including areas to be covered by Dry Weather Flow Interceptor at khals as well as separate collection, transportation & treatment of faecal sludge/septage and improvement of on site sanitation at STP-1 Catchment Area & other parts of Chattogram Metropolitan. |

The Consultant must have the experience of providing Consultancy Services for preparation of conceptual engineering design and procurement documents complying with procurement guidelines of GoB’s Public Procurement Rules (PPR)-2008/PPA-2006; in Design, Build, Construction Supervision and Contract Management; and successful commissioning of similar type of facilities and services as mentioned in serial 16. |

The expression of interest must include the following information that would lead in preparing short listing:
1) Background of the Firm(s) with brochures etc.
2) General and Overall experience of the Firm(s).
3) Experience in similar projects of comparable size, complexity and technical specialty of firms in the required area.
4) Experience in developing countries under same environmental and geographical conditions.
5) Annual Turnover of the firms for the last five years along with audit report.
6) Nature, total cost, total inputs in terms of man-month indicating area of expertise, employer, and location of the similar works in hand, if any.
7) Summary of permanent professionals with key qualifications in the fields of major components of the project as well as scope of work as mentioned in serial 16.
8) While indicating information relating to above serial 18 (3), it shall be made clear whether the responsibility of the firm was in the capacity of a principal firm or as one associated with a principal firm.

Consultant may associate with other Consultants to enhance their qualifications. Interested Consultants are invited to provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar study and operating conditions, availability of appropriate professional qualification and experience among staff, etc.). Consultant without having eligible criteria should not apply for EOI. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Consultant Selection Guidelines of GoB’s Public Procurement Rules (PPR)-2008/PPA-2006.
