INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT
|
| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
Task 1: LTS will act as key advisor to PD-PMU on livelihood issues;
Task 2: Provide guidance to district and upazila offices on training plan for the component;
Task 3: Undertake field visits to observe progress, quality and impact of livelihoods activities and implement
necessary corrective measures;
Task 4: Prepare livelihoods component reports from PMU side;
Task 5: Coordinate with GoB departments and other stakeholders including other other development project in
haor areas;
Task 6: Prepare Implementation manual and training modules of the component to improve the capacity of the
beneficiaries to achieve the project objectives.
Task 7: LTS will be liable to the Project Director, HILIP and will accomplish any other duties assigned by
him and his authorised representative.
Task 8: LTS will play role on Knowledge Management and communicate the best practices and lessoned
learned to the IFAD Asia network, Newsletter of LGED, LGED website and IFAD News Letter with the
help of M&E and KM Specialist of the project.
Task 9: LTS will orient and induce the staff and project partners on Project Management and approaches.
Task 10: LTS should develop at least 10 (ten) successful business models for replication.
Task 11: Develop a brief but informative content on climate change issues and adaptive mechanism for each
training event as a common session.

| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |
: |
The incumbent should have at least 4-year graduate degree in agriculture, economics, agri-economics, management, finance, marketing, business studies or development studies from any reputed institute; post-graduate degree in these fields will be preferred.
At least 15 years working experience - of which at least 4-5 year experience as consultant/specialist in agricultural development, agricultural development, livelihoods, value chain development and further experienced in project designing, monitoring and training in relevant areas will be preferred.
