| Brief Description of Assignment |

In carrying out the Feasibility Study for Navigation Improvement and Landing facilities at Chittagong Hill Tracts Region , the Consultant (National) will perform the following (but not limited to) types of work:
• Plan & design artificial basin as a water reservoir for available of water for whole of the year.
• Baseline condition of the Khsagrachari, Rangamati and Bandar ban District river system;
• Dredging plan,estimation of location wise capital and maintenance dredging requirement and volume;
• Dredging material management plan;
• Planning and design of flood and erosion mitigation measures;
• Environmental impact assessment, Environmental mitigation measures, management and monitoring plan ;
• To establish passengers ports and landing Stations and conceptual drawing design with cost estimate.

The eligibility of the Consultancy Firm (National) in providing the Services are as follows :
i) The Consulting Firm must have the General Experience of rendering the Consultancy Services within the last 10 (ten) years;
ii) The Consulting Firm must have the Specific Experience as satisfactory completion of morphological study, design & supervision of dredging work including carry out EIA and SIA studies etc. in the last 5 (five) years;
iii) In case of Joint Ventures, the Lead Partner must have the above experiences of rendering the Consultancy Services within the respective mentioned years. Other Partners must have the experience of rendering Consultancy Services of any water resource related project within the last 5 (five) years.
Interested Consultancy Firms (National) are invited to provide the following information with evidence indicating that they are qualified to perform the services :
a) Background of the Firm including general information;
b) General and specific experience of the Firm including area of expertise;
c) Summary of similar completed/on going projects including total professional man-month and contract amount;
d) Experience in design of navigational channel, determination of dredging quantity and conducting hydrographic survey including preparation of hydrographic chart;
e) Similar experience/ ongoing projects in the Hill Tracts Region;
f) Financial capability of the Firm including audited financial reports;
g) Summary of permanent professional employees with key personnel’s qualification and experience;
h) Summary of logistics and other facilities to carry out the service.

Duration of the services will be 12 (twelve) months. BIWTA now invites eligible Firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Firms are invited to provide information and documents (brochures, description of similar assignments, experiences, availability of appropriate professionals, Qualification and experience of all expert and staff, trade license, VAT, income tax certificate, financial solvency certificate etc.). indicating that they are qualified to perform the service, EOI submission place: Office of the Superintending Engineer (Civil), Dredging Department, BIWTA Bhaban (level-7),141-143, Motijheel C/A, Dhaka. Expression of Interest shall be submitted in 4 (four) sets (1 original and 3 copies) in sealed envelope delivered to the address of the undersigned below by the date & time mentioned above and will be clearly marked as “Request for Expressions of Interest for Selection of Consulting Firm”. |
