INFORMATION FOR APPLICANT
|
| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
(i) To carry out Individual Consultancy services by providing design guide line for the civil work to be implemented as per as possible within the approved DPP.
(ii) To carry out detail investigation to identify effective and appropriate locations for Bus Bays, Foot Over bridge, U-loop for incorporating in the planning and subsequently in the design proceeds.
(iii) To identify the bridges and culvers under which underpasses could be constructed for pedestrian crossings and vehicular U- Turn for identified particular categories. To advice for designs for construction.
(iv) To carry out detail investigation to identify effectiveness of the locations lengths required of service lanes.
(v) To conduct detailed Geometric Engineering Analysis in appropriating of the adequacy of the designs made for construction in terms of their performance of the intended purposes considering site specific information, user behavior and practical constraints, if any.
(vi) In consultation with the Client, to prepare alternative improvement measures including their detailed engineering drawings if required.
(vii) To prepare a detailed investigation of drainage issues to incorporate in the designs and to make recommendation to overcome.
(viii)To identity deviation from approved designs, if any. In that case identify the necessary reason and justification for the deviation, if not justified recommend the necessary steps (with design or review of the existing design) to solve the problem.
(ix) To find out other options for the location that might add more effectiveness for that particular location.
(x) To give recommendations on non-engineering aspect like education, enforcement briefly but effectively for each location if needed. |
| Experience, Resources and Delivery Capacity Required |

Individual Consultant
(i) Shall be B.Sc. /M.Sc in Civil Engineering
(ii)) Shall have Practical Experience for minimum 20 years in Road Works or Transportation Engineering.
(iii) Shall have work experience in Road Safety Field / Road Construction / Bridge & Culvert Field for minimum 10 years. |

Submission of EOI should be done in closed format bearing the Name and Address of Individual Consultant, EOI Name. & Date and be addressed to the EOI issuing authority in 02 (two) copies; 01 (one) marked as “ORIGINAL” and other as “COPY” in separate envelopes in the form of book binding. Both the “ORIGINAL’ and “COPY” shall have to be covered within a single envelope. The applicant shall have to mention the page number serially in every page of submitted EOI document. |
