| Brief Description of Assignment |
: |
The main objective of the study is to assess the overall socio-economic and ecological impact of Bangabandhu Bridge. The study will explore how and to what extent the economy in general, and the people (more specifically the poor people) in particular have been benefited due to the construction of the bridge. More specifically, the study intends:
(i) To assess the social impact, and in particular, to explore whether and to what extent the livelihoods of the people have been improved;
(ii) To assess the contribution of the Bridge in poverty reduction in the north-western part of the country especially in the adjacent districts;
(iii) To assess whether and to what extent the economic activities have been facilitated due to the construction of the Bridge;
(iv) To assess what extent the Bangabandhu Bridge has contributed to country’s industrialization & employment generation; and
(v) To assess the impact of ecology and environment in the north-western part of the country especially in the adjacent districts;
In addition, this assessment is also expected to provide useful ingredients, analysis and insights for further investments of this kind in future in the country.

The Applicant shall furnish the following information along with the EOI:
1. Company Brochures describing background of the firm(s), their expertise and resources/facilities available;
2. Specific Experience of the Firm(s) in the Socio-Economic Impact Evaluation Study of similar nature in the last 10 (ten) years;
3. Experience in similar operating environments and conditions.
4. Availability of the appropriate skills among staff (list of relevant professional staff including brief description of their qualification and experience in similar nature of works) and availability of the resources demonstrating capacity to carry out such assignments;
5. Financial capability & administrative/managerial strength:
(a) average annual turnover, liquid assets or working capital;
(b) Company's incorporation certificate, valid Trade license, VAT registration certificate, IT certificate; and
(c) Administrative/ managerial structure of company's organogram with list of staff.
The “similar nature” is defined as Socio-Economic impact evaluation after the construction of any Bridge/Roads/physical Infrastructure projects.

EoI shall be submitted in closed envelope bearing the name and address of the applicant, EoI Ref No. & date; and addressing to the EoI issuing Authority in 3(three) copies 01(one) marked as “ORIGINAL” and the 02 (two) others as “COPY”.
Impact Evaluation Study Report will be submitted within 06 months from the date of commencement. Before Submission of Draft Report a validation workshop to be arranged.
Association with other firm(s):
Allowed.
a) Interested firms may associate with other firms (Domestic) to enhance their strength/capability and should mention whether the association is in the form of "Joint Venture". In case of association with other firm(s) all members of such "association shall have real and well defined input of assignment; and
b) In the case of Joint Venture, Lead Partner should have similar experience within the last 10 (ten) years involving Socio-Economic impact evaluation after construction of any Bridge/Roads/physical Infrastructure projects.
In case of JV the authorized representative should be from the lead partner.
