| Brief Description of Assignment |

This project aims to improve access to water and sanitation and promote legal empowerment of women and vulnerable groups in low-income slum communities in DESWSP's commanding and surrounding areas in Dhaka through the achievement of three outputs:
(i) Access of women and vulnerable groups in selected slums to improved water and sanitation services strengthened.
(ii) Sectoral policies, planning, and capacity for gender-responsive and socially inclusive responses to WASH challenges strengthened, and
(iii) Participation of women and vulnerable groups in water, sanitation, and slum governance strengthened and mechanisms for their legal empowerment developed. |

A. Name of the Post : Faecal Sludge Management Specialist i. No. of the post -1 (One)ii. Duration of the Service: 03 (Person Months)-Intermittent
iii. Qualification Requirements: Should Graduate in Civil Engineering /Waste Water /Sanitation Engineering or relevant.
iv. Overall Experience: Should have 17 years overall experience in project management in sanitation and faecal sludge management for onsite options
v. Specific Experience
a. at least 07 yrs experience to design gender friendly toilet technology and bathing facilities.
b. Should be familiar with participatory approaches to project design and implementation. c). Work experience in the project funded by International donor including ADB would be preferable. (Details in TOR)
B. Structural Engineer
i. No. of the post -1 (One)
ii. Duration of the Service: 05 (Person Months)-Intermittent
iii. Qualification Requirements: Should have a Graduate degree in Civil Engineering or relevant /equivalent.
iv. Overall Experience: Should have at least 12 years experience in the field of civil works.
vi. Specific Experience
a. Should have at least 05 years practical experience in designing of sanitation and urban infrastructure related civil works will be preferable.
b. Must be familiar with participatory approaches to project designe and implementation. c)work experiemnce in the project funded by international donor like ADB will be preferable. d) should be capable to designe gender friendly toilet technology and bathing facilities with community based operation & maintenance involving women and vulnerable groups (Deatils in TOR) " |
