The piloting of electronic government procurement (e-GP) at four target agencies and CPTU of IMED is now going on under the Public Procurement Reform Project-II.
The CPTU first published e- tender notice on the e-GP portal (www.eprocure.gov.bd)
for procurement of computers for its e-GP Lab in October, 2011.
Four procuring entities of the four target agencies also published their e-tender notices on the e-GP system in November, 2011.
The target agencies are LGED, RHD, BWDB and REB.
The CPTU is implementing the PPRP-II supported by the World Bank. The national e-GP web portal was formally inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on June 2, 2011, in order to start e-tender in Bangladesh.
Since the inauguration registration with the e-GP system by contractors, suppliers and consultants from home and abroad has been going on and it is increasing day by day. |
